Why the Ninjas?

So, what we have here is a women tormented, unable to find her love....wandering at night through a boys school. The choir boys make sense, the naked football players make sense, kind of....except that they have on American football pads...and this is clearly an English thing. The Ninjas and the loin-cloth wearers make little sense. Does this school have Ninja class?
Also, the ending. I don't get it. I love her dress, however and one recreated with slightly smaller shoulders. Please.
